Congrats, everybody: The guy who raised $52,000 on Kickstarter to make potato salad is now getting (probably paid) gigs to show up places. Zack Brown, whose Kickstarter campaign became an internet sensation earlier this month, will visit a Toronto location of the Jack Astor's Bar & Grill chain on August 5 to host a potato salad party. According to a press release, the restaurant's chef will "teach Brown how to make an amazing potato salad," and after the photo op, Brown and Jack Astor's will host a potato salad party — different than the one Brown promised as part of his Kickstarter rewards — where the salad will be free to the first 150 guests.
Meanwhile, Brown's Kickstarter campaign still has 62 hours remaining before it officially ends. The date for his "official" donor thank-you party, in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, will be sometime in September.
