Chef Thomas Keller has partnered up with cookware producer All-Clad to launch a line of pots and pans under the name All-Clad TK. According to The New York Times, there are three options available: The TK Foundation Set ($800), the TK Integrity Set ($1,000), and the TK Inspiration Set ($1,600). The pans are not totally new designs, but instead are "modified versions of existing products."
The collection features what Keller believes are the All-Clad's "optimal pieces," but with some enhancements. The handles feature a more streamlined curve and the lids are universal, meaning they fit on every pot. Keller notes, "It's a waste of material and space to have so many lids." The sauce pots also broader-based and the collection features a rondeau pot which allows for "larger-volume cooking." It's been quite the busy year for Keller: When not designing pans he's been dealing with Syrian hackers, opening an ice cream shop, and renovating his three-Michelin star restaurant, The French Laundry.
