Pizza chain Domino's is launching a brand new iPad app that features a 3D "realistic pizza builder." According to TechCrunch, the pizza builder will give customers a "more realistic view" of their "final pizza will look like" as they customize their various toppings and sauces. Kevin Vasconi, Domino's chief information officer told TechCrunch that he believes the app "app takes the experience of ordering pizza to a whole new level."
According to the Apple Store, the iPad app will also feature an updated pizza tracker that monitors the progress of your order in real time. Like Domino's other apps, there will be access to Domino's national menu, coupons, and a store locator.
TechCrunch also notes that digital orders now account for about "40 percent of all the company's sales in the U.S." This isn't the first iPad app that Domino's has launched. According to the Huffington Post, their first app, called Domino's Pizza Hero, was a game that let users design their own pizzas virtually and then order them in real life. However, users could only view the pizzas in 2D. The new iPad app launches Monday. See screenshots of the app:
