Palcohol, the makers of the powdered alcohol brand that will hit store shelves this Fall, has responded to an ensuing media storm by swapping out its website's copy, which once suggested taking the powdered booze into venues and sprinkling the powder on food (among other things). Describing the first website as an "unofficial" announcement, the creators at Lipsmark LLC now write that "we were experimenting with some humorous and edgy verbiage about Palcohol. It was not meant to be our final presentation of Palcohol."
And though the "old verbiage" suggested that a user could perhaps (but shouldn't) snort the product, the new verbiage makes it clear that snorting Palcohol is not an option. Creator Mark Phillips writes that thanks to "goofballs" who have suggested they'd snort the product, Palochol has changed its formula somewhat: "We've added volume to the powder so it would take more than a half of a cup of powder to get the equivalent of one drink up your nose. You would feel a lot of pain for very little gain." Even if snorted, Palcohol probably wouldn't be the absolute worst way to consume alcohol, but please, "drink" responsibly.
