Back in August news came that chef Dominique Ansel landed a cookbook deal with Simon & Schuster, and here now: the cover. (It comes out October 28, 2014, but you can preorder the book on Amazon.) Dominique Ansel is the proprietor of the eponymous bakery in New York City, he's the creator of the craze-inducing Cronut (perhaps you have heard of it?), and is basically the 21st century embodiment of Willy Wonka, creating pastries including the Pinecone and Milk and Cookie Shots.
As part of the cookbook reveal there's a dedicated website as well as a stunt today in New York City: According to Eater NY, Ansel will be "handing out Cronuts and Cookie Shots at secret locations throughout the city." As for the cookbook, it's described as "a book about creativity and how you can harness it to create a phenomenon with things as simple as flour, sugar and butter." Ansel confirmed that there will in fact be a recipe for Cronuts, but only "for the home cook" (not an industrial recipe so that other bakeries can create even more knockoff Cronuts).
