Actor/writer/director Jon Favreau's food-truck film Chef will premiere tomorrow night at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, so to prepare for the media blitz, Favreau and Chef co-star/frequent collaborator/Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. designed a few "unofficial" posters specifically for the festival. In this video, Favreau and Downey Jr. break down some of the design elements: a poster depicting the food truck on a giant fork reveals a major plot device ("there's a truck on a giant fork in the movie"), while one of Downey's posters, according to the artiste, is titled "breaking through spiritual materialism."
During the festival, Favreau will pepper Austin with signed Chef posters, revealing their locations on his Twitter account. In the video announcement, Favreau promises: "We'll have lots of fun stuff happening for you in Austin." Go, watch:
