As promised, Cronut® king Dominique Ansel brought his much-sought-after pastry to Los Angeles for a one-day pop-up, and despite the rain, more than 400 people lined up outside a Barneys for their chance to snap up a couple doughnut-croissant hybrids (the first Cronut® recipient secured his spot in line at 2:30a.m., while the second person in line drove up all the way from San Diego).
Eater LA was on the scene, capturing the crowds and Ansel himself, who handed out Cronut® boxes emblazoned with the Barneys logo. Ansel also posed with fans who told their queue stories with a fill-in-the-blank whiteboard: "I had to ___________ for a Cronut!" Head over to Eater LA for more.
