After concerns arose yesterday over its iPhone app's security settings (which stored users' information in unencrypted text), Starbucks announced it will update its app to add "extra layers of protection." In a press release, Starbucks' CIO writes that "there is no indication that any customer has been impacted by this or that any information has been compromised," but that the update will occur "out of an abundance of caution."
