Here now, a trailer for the upcoming documentary Foodies: The Culinary Jetset, which focuses "on the fine dining subculture of foodies." Directors Thomas Jackson, Charlotte Landelius, and Henrik Stockare follow what they refer to as a group of "slightly bizarre but charming food maniacs" — including model/food blogger Aiste Miseviciute — as they travel to spots like Noma (Copenhagen), Eleven Madison Park (NYC), Kikunoi (Kyoto, where the chef's tasting menu costs roughly $260 US), Pierre Gagnaire (Paris), and Arzak (in San Sebastián; the trailer features a cameo by Elena Arzak herself).
Foodies, released by Fortissimo Films, the same U.S. distributor for Jiro Dreams of Sushi, hits theaters in 2014. But first, the trailer, which features the self-proclaimed foodies saying things like: "I've been to 1,200 restaurants. It's a game."
