On Monday Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro opened his first restaurant in Las Vegas. Eater Vegas takes a look inside Buddy V's Ristorante at the Palazzo and finds a design scheme meant to be reminiscent of "an Italian-American living room," complete with photos of the Valastro family. The space was designed by Celano Design Studio and features brick walls, wood floors, "light fixtures made of repurposed whisks and water jugs," lots of upholstered chairs, and panels made from hanging rolling pins. Said Valastro in an interview: "The only scary thing about opening a restaurant is I know I'm in the public eye; the binoculars are like 'this' on me, I'm going to be scrutinized. It makes us work even more, every detail perfect."
