Last week it was announced that chef René Redzepi has become a majority owner of his Copenhagen restaurant, Noma, thanks to a deal with an investor named Marc Blazer (Overture Acquisitions). Eater has acquired a statement from Redzepi that addresses Noma co-founder Claus Meyer and business partner Kristian Byrge's involvement moving forward: the "original partners remain unchanged albeit as minority partners." Meyer is currently working on a project in Bolvia, the restaurant Gustu.
According to the statement, Redzepi has been looking for "the right people to help put Noma on it's own solid footing, as a vibrant and independent company" and has apparently found that in Blazer. As for the future, Redzepi writes, "I'm more excited than ever for the coming decade, as restaurant noma is entering a new era and we are ready keep building on the momentum of the past ten years." Stay tuned; the statement is below.

Press Release
"Great News"Dear everybody,
I'm very pleased to announce that there will be a new ownership structure at noma. I will increase my personal stake and we've also expanded the team by adding a minority group of new partners led by Dutch native Marc Blazer.
I have looked for more than five years to find the right people to help put Noma on it's own solid footing, as a vibrant and independent company. Furthermore I have spent almost two years getting to know Marc and his partners, and we here all believe that they bring both great commitment to what we do, and resources to help us continue building on our efforts.
I'm more excited than ever for the coming decade, as restaurant noma is entering a new era and we are ready keep building on the momentum of the past ten years.
In addition to me and Overture, Marc Blazer's group, Noma's other original partners remain unchanged albeit as minority partners.
