Hey there copycats, if we're ever in a room together, I will be able to look you in the eye. Will you be able to do the same?

There are many, many cronut copycats out there in the world and today cronut inventor Dominique Ansel expressed a studied disappointment on all the "dossants," "cro-nots," and "doissants" out there. He tweeted: "Hey there copycats, if we're ever in a room together, I will be able to look you in the eye. Will you be able to do the same?"
Ansel trademarked the term "cronut," but there's not much he can do about people blatantly copying his techniques. Last week in an interview with Eater, Ansel addressed the imposters, saying that he was "very flattered to be an inspiration for people." But his lawyer "says something else."
