Eating Las Vegas blogger John Curtas heard some rumors about a bunch of new restaurants opening in the Palazzo, and he heard them from someone whose name might rhyme with Moe Kastianich, so they are maybe probably pretty solid. First of all, Curtas hears restauranteur/chef duo Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali are opening two restaurants: one will be "an Arthur Ave.-like ode to American-Italian food" and the other will be a non-Italian gastropub. There are also rumors of something that's not Eataly but sort of like Eataly opening in Vegas.
Other rumors involve "a very, very French bistro/charcuterie/brasserie concept from a very, very famous French chef" who may or may not be Daniel Boulud, and a sushi place from "one of the world's greatest sushi chefs." Boulud told Eater Vegas "he had no plans to open a new restaurant at the Venetian and Palazzo" back in December, but maybe he changed his mind?
