Today in American heroes, a man in Nebraska accidentally drove his car through the front door of a pizza shop and bravely ordered a pizza from his car window while waiting for paramedics to arrive on the scene. As a witness tells KLKN-TV, "It was like he does it every day." Apparently the unnamed elderly man got his foot stuck on the gas when he crashed into Valentino's in Lincoln just before noon.
But what could have been horrific turned out to be not-so-bad: no one in the pizzeria was hurt and the car was small enough to drive right through the door, causing no major structural damage. KLKN-TV's Sabrina Ahmed confirms, too, that the elderly man will be fine and that "the fact that he ordered pizza on the scene was a good sign because he wasn't confused about why he was there or where he was."
