Yesterday British chef Fergus Henderson tweeted, "St John hotel is open cooking up a storm pay no attention to the poorly reserched piece in Londoners diary they will apologise tomorow," and sure enough, here's the Evening Standard's apology: "The pots are still bubbling merrily in the kitchen and the maids are still plumping pillows in the hotel, which is fully booked until Christmas, while a buyer is sought."
While the hotel might be financially insolvent and under administration — a process similar to bankruptcy — Henderson and his partner Trevor Gulliver are hoping to buy it back.
