In some potentially big expansion news for France, Food Arts is reporting that Danny Bowien of Mission Chinese Food and Jody Williams of Buvette are each looking into bringing their concepts to Paris. The issue isn't yet online, but Grub Street notes that Bowien is going to be looking at spaces in Paris early in the new year for his concept that has taken San Francisco and New York City by storm. Meanwhile, apparently Williams already has a space and has begun construction on a Parisian Buvette, slated to open in the spring.
Mission Chinese expansion plans have been rumored for some time now — with locations in Brooklyn and Bowien's native Oklahoma City on the horizon — and Bowien told Eater back in July that they were "looking to expand pretty quickly."
