Ferran and Albert Adrià's Nikkei restaurant now has a name, Pakta, and it will open in Barcelona on January 15. As reported when the project was announced, the 30-seat space — good luck getting in — will focus on fusing the cuisines of Japan and Peru. Peruvian newspaper El Comercio reports that the Adriàs have put together a team that includes chefs from Peru, Spain, Argentina, and Japan. As for the menu: there'll be nigiris, but no sushi rolls, as well as tiraditos, ceviches, and nigiri-causas. This project is in addition to the Adrià's forthcoming Mexican restaurant, which should open soon, as well. More details as they become available.
