Rapper/reality star Flavor Flav is back in the restaurant business as his Las Vegas fried chicken restaurant, House of Flavor, opened its doors yesterday. Flav's previous restaurant, Flav's Fried Chicken, opened in Iowa last year but shuttered a few months later due to a management dispute. (The two restaurants are unrelated.) But one little failed restaurant wasn't going to stop Flav, who went to culinary school in the 70s before becoming famous with rap group Public Enemy.
The restaurant will serve Southern soul food, with fried chicken and red velvet waffles as their specialties. Yelpers, so far, approve; to quote the one review the restaurant has received thus far, "Yeah, boyeee!!!" Also, coincidentally, today is Flav's birthday, so happy birthday to him.
