Since the Olympics are about reaching new heights and setting records, McDonald's has announced it will open its biggest and busiest restaurant ever on the site of the 2012 Olympics in London. The two-story, 9,800-square-foot temple of fast food will be erected "mere meters" from where the world's top athletes will be competing. Athletes who, in all likelihood, didn't get to where they are by eating at McDonald's.
The largest-ever restaurant from the largest-ever restaurant chain will do some serious business during the games. McDonald's plans to serve 1,75 million meals during the 29-day Olympics. The gigantor restaurant is just one of four McDonald's locations to be built in or near the Olympic park in east London.
