Man, people eat a lot of meat. The New York Times infographic above charts the average American's meat consumptions over the past hundred or so years, and it's telling: Chicken consumption is up! Beef consumption is down! Lamb and veal hardly get eaten at all! Also noted on the timeline are milestones in American meat history, such as the opening of the first KFC and the introduction of the "Where's the Beef?" campaign.
