Top Chef Wins Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program!

top-chef-emmy-win.jpg

Tonight during the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, Top Chef won the Emmy in the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program category, beating out Project Runway, Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol, and The Amazing Race, which had won the award seven years in a row. It was Top Chef's fourth consecutive nomination.

On stage included Dan Cutforth from the production company Magical Elves, Tom Colicchio, Padma Lakshmi, and an absolutely beaming Gail Simmons.

Colicchio exercised brevity and simply tweeted: "We won." Lakshmi used many exclamation points: "We won!!! Who can believe it??!!" And Bravo producer Andy Cohen's caps lock was fully-engaged: "WE WONNNNN!!!! TOPCHEF TOPCHEF TOPCHEF TOPCHEF TOPCHEF!!!!!"

And here's the video from the Emmys. >>>
