New App Helps You Figure Out What To Do With Leftovers

shakeandbake.jpgNow here's a food and dining app for the iPhone that people will actually use -- the "Shake and Bake" app provides you with recipes based on the leftovers you have in your fridge. All you have to do is select the food items and amounts that you have lying around, shake your iPhone, and the program will give you a variety of different recipes that utilize your extra food as much as possible.

While this sounds like both a fun an convenient little program, the app was actually designed and released by a food non-profit called Love Food Hate Waste, which teaches people how to save money and reduce waste by using their excess food. The app is available for free through the iTunes store, and the Love Food Hate Waste Website, but sadly only in Scotland and Wales.
