The annual food issue of the New York Times Magazine drops this weekend, but already there are some preview bits and pieces online. And surprise, surprise, Michael Pollan is here to (correctly) tell everyone how terrible their eating habits are and will continue to be unless they follow his rules. Or rather, his favorite rules that were submitted by his army of readers in anticipation of his new book, due in January.
Just a few of the highlights from the new set of 20 Pollan Laws: never have second helpings, savor your first bites slowly so you stop eating sooner, don't talk about meals that you've had in the past, avoid snacks with the "oh" sound in their names like Doritos (heh), make/take your lunch to work, and most importantly, "don't yuck someone's yum."
