1) Gowanus: Brownstoner brings news of a new possible performance space/club/music venue in Gowanus: "Workers have been clearing out the ground-floor space of a warehouse on DeGraw Street between 3rd and 4th avenues for the past few weeks, and DOB filings for the spot say it's going to be a 'drinking and dancing establishment.'...The inside of the building still looks pretty raw, so we're guessing this is at least a few months away from becoming a reality." 2) Financial District: Huge, breaking FiDi news, from the tipline: "For your info, Zibetto, the expresso bar on 6th Ave in midtown, seems to be opening a location on Fulton St. near the corner of William St. downtown. I spoke to the guy there last Friday and he said it would open in a month." [PLYWOOD}

3) Prospect Heights: A tipster reports that the Brooklyn boards are abuzz with Tao Palate anticipation: "Tao Palate coming to Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn (Prospect Heights). The sign just went up, and on the door, something like 'Pan-Asian Vegan Cuisine.'" [PLYWOOD]

4) Midtown: This is an plywood vet, but a tipster checks in on Midtown's Sinigual, which is now hiring: "We were walking up Third Ave. and couldn't help but notice the coming of this Mexican restaurant called Siniqual, on the corner of 41st St. It may be a chain out of California fka El Torito Mexican Grill." 5) Williamsburg: Some pizza news from the inbox: "...not very exciting but...604 grand street will soon be a papa john's pizza." Speak for yourself tipster. [PLYWOOD]

6) Battery Park: A tipster has some news on a Izzy and Nat's, a kosher deli in Brooklyn, expanding into Manhattan: "...a new jewish deli is to open at 311 south end ave. battery park. real hand rolled bagels and new york's best smoked salmon. pastrami, corned beef, orwasher's seeded rye bread guss's pickles. hanan moshe is the manager and owner of friedman'd deli." 7) Downtown Brooklyn: Yet another Yogo Monster set to open in the lower BK: "It looks like Yogo Monster is opening a (second?) location at 115 Court Street in the old Samurai Sam's spot (between Schermerhorn and State). I saw a sign up on Wednesday, July 2 (picture attached, camera phone at night didn't work so well)..." [PLYWOOD]
