Is this a fourth Momo operation?? Guess again.

East Village: One of our roving photographers sent in these shots (above and after the jump) of the yet to open Mercadito Cantina, now under construction on Avenue B between 10th and 11th. Originally reported to be opening over two weeks ago, the latest press releases are setting the grand opening for Monday. The place is still very much a work in progress, so we're guessing these guys will be pulling some overtime this weekend. One important design note: check out those stools, that bar along the front left wall, the skinny counter spanning the open kitchen. Looks similar to another little East Village operation we all know and love, no? The motif at Mercadito Cantina is definitely...woodier, but we have some undeniable Momofuku signature moves going on here. Click through for a closer look at those stools:
