Midtown: And the shuttering bloodbath continues. Giggles, a West 40th Street staple for work lunches, going away parties, and happy hour drinks is shuttered and being gutted this very moment. The closure, which we hear is a week old, was not due to a lack of popularity. According to the sign, it was an ugly case of lease woes. Office workers around Bryant Park: start looking for a new spot for 6pm cocktails and generic pub fare.
