Wafflegate Clarifications
Monday, April 21, 2008

Wafels & Dinges owner Thomas Degeest chimes in with some important clarifications on today's Wafflegate and explains why he imports waffles (and soon the dough) instead of making them fresh: "Making the dough here is complex...some ingredients are not to be found, equipment and space investment, and most of all the expertise...Note that we DO make our Brussels waffles in the truck 100% fresh, but the Liege are imported as waffles now, and soon as dough."
