EaterWire AM Edition: Nobu 57 GM Poached for Susur Lee Project
Friday, April 18, 2008

2008_04_nobu57.jpgIt was announced last week that Susur Lee, one of Canada's most well known chefs, is opening a restaurant in the Thompson LES hotel this September. Well, the first of what could be many poaches has begun. The first victim: Nobu 57. Per a tipster: "I wanted to let you know that the GM of Nobu Fifty Seven, Howard Kuo, has given notice. He's going to be the new Managing Partner of Susur Lee's new restaurant in the LES restaurant at the Thompson hotel." The new restaurant is, most optimistically, four months out, so it's unclear how much longer Kuo would stay at Nobu. photo
