Dumpling House on Eldridge Street has reopened on the other side of a facelift. The early word, from the tipline: "Dumpling House reopened today. It's much larger and nicer than it was before (by Chinatown standards). They now have tables and chairs, a window on to the back kitchen (you can now watch people making dumplings), and higher prices (of course!). Now $1 only gets you 4 dumplings, instead of the previous 5 for $1. Everything else is a little bit more expensive, but still cheap. Anyway, this is my favorite dumpling place in Chinatown, and I'm so happy it's open again! Just wanted to share. Oh yeah, and the dumplings were just as good as usual." [EaterWire Inbox]
