Plywood Report: Remedy Diner Readies on LES

Zooming in way under the radar is Remedy Diner, the new, uh, diner that's been colonizing the large space on the corner of Houston and Norfolk Streets previously occupied by Petrosino (and whatever the hell the name of that craptastic spinoff was that they opened next door) since mid-summer. Since the shuttering of LoSide over a year ago, the neighborhood has lacked for an upscale-yet-downscale diner with a genuine diner vibe, and that looks to be exactly what Remedy aims to be. The interior decor is impressive, but the low-grade temporary signage (above) and perplexing choice of purple for the exterior brickwork does give one pause. Still, we're feeling this place. Sort of. Maybe?
