Plywood Report: Chikalicious Getting a Sister, Vynl Empire Heads to Chelsea

1) East Village: Chikalicious, which bills itself as 'New York's first' dessert bar, is getting a younger sister across the street in the form of one Chikalicious Pudding. The debut is scheduled for November, and from the looks of it, that might actually happen. The above is Kalina-brand plywood, fyi. [PLYWOOD]

2) Chelsea: Tour, which is shuttered per the Wire, is going to become Vynl Diner (not BarFly), an outpost of the Hell's Kitchen Thai diner. It shouldn't take long to get the space in order, since it was built as a diner anyway and it's highly unlikely that Vynl is going to want to make serious alterations to the layout of the place. Thanks to the many Chelsea area tipsters who have filed on this one. [PLYWOOD]
