Plywood Report: Jason Denton On Track for March '08 Open
Tuesday, September 18, 2007
Having first eyed a space on 20th Street, former Otto investor and 'ino/'inoteca owner Jason Denton checks-in to say he's just last week signed a lease at 323 Third Avenue, formerly Gramercy 24. The man says that the venue will be northern Italian and is looking good for March 1, 2008. Other details, per an earlier report from him: "1. This will most certainly not be an Otto-style restaurant. 2. There is no wood burning oven. 3. Though there might be Salumi, it will not be a main focus of the restaurant. 4. A name has not been decided upon." Expect a fairly extensive overhaul of the Gramercy space (above right), though if his aesthetic historically is an indication, he may keep the exposed brick.
