Magnolia Bakery Reopens, Unveils New Sink!
Thursday, July 12, 2007
The Magnolia Bakery, the cupcake capital of New York, reopened this morning (color-coordinated, photographic evidence above) following their 'bout with the Department of Health. In an unprecedented move, the DOH allowed the venue to reopen less than 24 hours after they closed it down for not having a sink in a front food prep area. Below, Magnolia's new sink, it all its stainless steel glory.
why do all the storefront photos of the disaster area feature the same pale fleshy women with pinched faces--if this is the typical cupcake eater going here I can see why they never complain about the dryness that all the haters complain of when knocking a magnolia dessert item--must have been a near death experience for this crowd to find the doors locked and no end to the drought in sight...
yes no hand washing sign and also utensils sitting in conatiners with water, pretty sure they have to be handled like ice cream scoops...ie: running water, let's not even ask where the ice scoop is....No Cupcakes for YOU!
Apparently since the hordes of rats in the basement weren't televised, they aren't a health risk...maybe they got sick of oversweet cupcakes and went to taco bell, and therein lied the problem...
