First Word Exclusive: Starr and Sacco Teaming on Downtown Steakhouse

It's time now for another installment of First Word, a new feature we're playing with that is exactly as it sounds. This here word you're about to receive: it's the first, to be sure.

Rock-solid sources tell Eater that Phillyman cum MePa King Stephen Starr will team with Amy Sacco (Bungalow 8, Bette; obvi) on a steakhouse at 111 Williams Street, also known as the new FiDi development District (on which Sacco is already a consultant). The steakhouse will be non-traditional for the genre, we're told, perhaps to be designed by India Mahdav, of Apt fame. The restaurant, named District for the time being, is to open 'within the year', per our report. No chef has been selected just yet.

huh? there's already a restaurant named DISTRICT in this city. it's on 46th between 6th and 7th, in the muse hotel. OMG WTF!!!
