BREAKING: Ramsay Dismisses Neil Ferguson

MIDTOWN WEST—Gordon Ramsay at the London chef de cuisine Neil Ferguson has been dismissed from his post at the restaurant, Eater learned early this morning. Ferguson had been with Ramsay since 2000 (Ramsay and Ferguson also worked together as early as 1995 at Aubergine), first as a sous chef at the original Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London. Details surrounding his departure are still unclear, however one source said, "Word on the street is that people at the restaurant were told that neil was no longer apart and has decided to decided to follow other pursuits/projects. They implied that he was asked to leave, but made no mention of his replacement." Given the restaurant's very poor critical reception, the move, though extreme given Ramsay's history with Ferguson, is not entirely shocking. Ramsay spokesman Magrino PR has been contacted for comment. [EaterWire]
